It takes a deepening in everyone's past to unlock the truth beneath everything. These 8 people are connected for some odd reason. They happen to meet during the break out of the laboratory located in the heavy forest. No person has the nerve to step foot in the forest, a myth of an 18 ft tall creature roams around; no one has a clue what the creature does or clearly looks like. Scientists study human nature mixed with animal structures to make humans more fit in survival in this world. These 8 people discover a trail of unknown secrets that may reflect on why they exist and what the scientists are doing.

The Aftermath at Mount Massive
-Cross-post from my Ao3- The Aftermath at Mount Massive is part one of a three part series called Survivors. This part is done. It is a fanfic for the game Outlast, set after the first game/DLC. However, you don't have to know much about the game to jump in. This story follows an independent journalist named Miles Upshur who received an email from a whistleblower, Waylon Park, who worked at Murkoff Psychiatric Systems: Mount Massive. The hospital was supposed to be run as a charity, offering help to those who could not pay, or for those who other hospitals wouldn't accept. However, things weren't as they seemed and Murkoff was using the hospital as a cover for a laboratory where they were performing experiments on humans. The end result of such experiments was the creation of Project Walrider, a bio-nanite parasite that lives inside a human body. Miles stumbles into the facility during a security breach and riot. He manages to survive the night but in doing so becomes infected with the nanites, becoming the new host for Project Walrider. The Aftermath of Mount Massive is about Miles coming to terms with what being the Host means for both his humanity and future. The scent of the short teen used to have was gone, replaced with the putrid smell of death and rot that covered the whole room and the killer himself. Blood smudged all over the teen and onto the older man as he attempted to escape. He got hungry and tired. He just wanted to eat and then sleep. He was preparing the girl, cutting her body apart and tearing the flesh off the bones, which is why the room was such a mess with her blood. Now, he had the boy in his hands. The hunger overtook him. The sharp pain of large "canine" teeth being plunged into his neck made Cameron scream. It was cut short, his whole body freezing up as the crazy man sunk his large fangs into his neck, ripping a large chunk of the boy's flesh in between his teeth. The pain only got worse when he felt the killer tug harshly, pulling his flesh out... ----- A gang of delinquents becomes lost in a forest, pursued by a frightening masked figure. He hunts them down individually, resembling a stalking wolf, wielding a crude knife fashioned from animal bones. As they struggle to survive, the teens also grapple with the harsh environment that challenges them. Eden was a teen whose mother had just passed away in a fatal accident, his father turning to alcoholism to drown his sorrows left Eden alone with himself. One night when he couldn't sleep, contemplating his life without his mother. Something calls to Eden, causing him to leave the comfort of his own home. Falling down a well and into a brand new realm full of upside down logic. Follow Eden as he traverses the new environment and figure out why he was brought here and how to escape. This story is mature :) Also I have no idea how to categorize this I was at first saying horror because of the minor psychological horror aspects but now I don't know.
