Kate Rivers is a girl of few words and many, many anxieties. Despite her striking appearance, intense aura, and MMA skills that make her intimidating at a glance, Kate is a bundle of insecurities and paranoia. She's convinced that people in her new high school despise her and whisper behind her back. Moving to New York was supposed to be a fresh start, but Kate is struggling to break the habits that keep her walled off from the world. The irony is that her classmates see her as untouchable, mysterious, and effortlessly cool, which only makes her more intimidating to approach.

Caught in her own world of assumptions, Kate's life takes an unexpected turn when she catches the attention of two people she'd never imagine herself falling for: Alicia, the popular cheer captain with a complicated home life as the heir to Wilson Enterprises, and an alluring yet enigmatic teacher whose hidden warmth stirs up something new in Kate. But with her paranoia and walls built high, will Kate be able to let love in, or will her fears and insecurities keep her from embracing who she really is?

This story follows Kate as she navigates her anxiety, her complex feelings, and the tangled web of teenage life, love, and friendship in an elite New York high school.

What could possibly go wrong there. Millie Dawson was a young teacher, Twenty three years old, newly graduated with a masters degree and teaching her first year at the community college, whilst simultaneously assisting her mother Moira at the university in her speciality, psychology. Millie crammed so much into her learning and work life that she didn't much notice anyone around her, certainly not the beautiful girl sat in her mothers class, who she would have recognised as a student had she ever looked up long enough, and she could have then avoided the moment she stepped over the line and became inappropriate with a student. Wren was impossible, impossibly cute, driven, confident, funny, gorgeous and intent on making Millie fall for her, no matter how she tried to avoid it. "This book is the perfect mixture of deep and hilarious. I'm in love with that" - crackhead4ever Teen fiction has given cheerleaders a bad rap. And stereotypical appearances. Courtney knows this. She is a cheerleader. Is she a pretty blonde with blue eyes? Well, yes. Is she popular and perky? ...okay. Yes, again. Is she stuck up and cruel to others for no reason? Ha! There! No to that one. In fact, she's worked for years to portray the perfect image of an upbeat, easy going person. An image that gets harder to hold on to when: The new girl takes an instant dislike to her. Her best friend decides to run against her for Senior Class President. Her football team captain boyfriend breaks up with her. And, oh yeah, she humiliates herself in front of the whole school. Yup, that perfect image is falling apart. "I love how this book is different from other teen fiction books It's like a breath of fresh air from the same old tropes😄 💕" - LaraAmethyst "I loooove this book so much already aghhh" - therealbhavie "I'm hooked- I- I think that's all im gonna say before I run to read the next chapter" - grumpymood "So excited for the next chapter!
