ETFE resin is a semi-transparent, lightweight, and durable fluoropolymer material that has excellent chemical resistance and can operate at 300 °F (149 °C) continuously. Because of this, ETFE resin is often used as a replacement for glass or traditional plastic. ETFE resin is also used in the aviation and aerospace industries for wire coatings because it has better mechanical toughness than PTFE fluon etfe resin.
