The Whispers of the Dark

The town of Vesper Hollow had always been a place of shadows. Nestled in the hollow of a thick forest, its streets were lined with crooked houses that seemed to lean in towards one another, as if sharing secrets that no one else was meant to hear. For most of the year, the town was cloaked in a dull, overcast sky, and when the fog rolled in from the valley, the world outside would disappear entirely, leaving the town isolated, a ghost of itself.
