In a world long since ravaged by war, a kingdom sits idley by, cloaked in enchantments. The forest surrounding it a death trap for any mortal without magic blood. On the other side of the continent sits another kingdom, human by blood, human by action. One item has driven these kingdoms a part for centuries, an item of incredible magic ability, strong enough to create a doorway to another world. But when this item is retrieved by a certain human, from the other side of a long closed portal, things start to change.
A prophecy will come to fulfillment. A cursed race of elves exists in the desolate places of middle earth. Loriel has always had an interest in Mirkwood. The cold king that lives in isolation there in particular. She has fought in the war of the ring. She now volleys for the alliances and acceptance of other races. When she is asked to visit Mirkwood and give the king time to decide if her race is worthy of allegiance. She shares a long history with the king of Mirkwood. Can Thranduil accept her cursed self?
