Beyoncé Knowles, a seasoned counselor and NYU student studying elementary education, is returning for her third summer at Camp Halo to make extra money between semesters when she clashes with newcomer Onika 'Nicki' Maraj, who's sent there to serve a court-mandated community service sentence. Beyoncé is calm, responsible, and dedicated, while Nicki is fiery, rebellious, and reluctant. However, over the course of the summer, their rivalry softens as they are forced to learn to work together to navigate the challenges of camp life. Through late-night conversations, shared struggles with demanding kids, and a lot of rule-breaking, they begin to see each other in a new light. As the resentment between them slowly dissolves into undeniable attraction, what began as an unlikely pairing between two polar opposites evolves into an unshakable connection, too powerful to be deemed a "summer fling".
