A family, it's all Cale had for the majority of his time. But after gaining the curse of immortality, he found that it's harder to live.

How can the air of his home turn unfamiliar? 
How can the scenery of his place become cold?
Just when did he last feel truly happy? Belonged?

He can't drown in sorrow, he refused to. So this time, he struck a deal with the worlds.

"Offer me something, and I'll help your world."

Like reading in the library, he searched for a new sensation, a new purpose. 

Something familiar.. 

But his desolate heart has dusted. How can someone love a heart that no longer works?

Someday, in some way, maybe Cale will find his answer.

Cale can only frown under his hood. He once had that grand dream, but his dream became a nightmare once he became immortal.

[rewritten] Cale sat on the couch, utterly done. Across from him sat the culprit of his misery-the God of Death. A commander, Cale? Ha! More like a chubby toddler with baby hands. Cale's eye twitched. "Explain." The god gulped. "Cale, my child... I-I didn't mean to! The intrusive thoughts won..." Cale inhaled sharply. 'Murder is illegal. Murder is illegal-oh hell-i don't care!' Beside him, Angela gasped dramatically, hands clasped together. "Kyaa! Cale-child! You're so adorable! I can't wait to see your cha-ahem, help to that world!" Cale, a grown man trapped in a four-year-old's body, stared soullessly into the void. He needed a nap. Or a weapon. --- Meanwhile, in another world...
