I thought my life was already complicated enough.

Accounting student at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. Volleyball player. Part-time son who was trying to make his family proud. My biggest problems were exams, missed practices, and figuring out how to survive another week without failing a subject.

Then I met him. A rider dressed in a black. I didn't know his name at first. I only knew that people went silent whenever he appeared. They called him dangerous. I called him an asshole.

Until I discovered that the man behind the helmet wasn't just some reckless rider.

He was part of the darkest. And somehow, out of all the people he could have noticed-

he chose me.

I should've stayed away. I should've ignored the late-night rides, the mysterious calls, the way his eyes always seemed to find me in a crowded room.

But predators don't chase what they don't want.
