When Frank graduated high school, two things were certain: he wanted to go to college to be a teacher and he was unwaveringly in love with Gerard. Gerard was 6 years younger but the pair grew up next door neighbors with a fairytale story of falling in love. The fairytale ended when Gerard decided the age gap was too much, leaving Frank and his broken bleeding heart in the dust. After finishing his teaching masters degree the spring before his 25th birthday, Frank finds himself moving home to care for his sick mother and taking a very uninspiring job as an English teacher at Belleville High School. It was a job he was certain would be boring until he learns quickly that Gerard is a senior at the same high school. Emotions flare and tensions rise as Frank realizes the feelings he thought were long and buried are still very much around. Will Frank risk it all to be with Gerard again or are his wounds too deep to heal.

Frank has always been an outcast. At school, at home, even just walking down the street. He's a nobody- and he's perfectly fine with that. That is, until he accidentally befriends a stranger he met in the woods, who not only shows up everywhere he goes, but is eerily pale; almost transparent. And his skin cold to the touch... Will this be the end of frank? Or merely a new beginning?

Gerard cant leave his current relationship and it kills Frank but it's really gonna kill Gerard when Frank tells him what his mother just told him.

He's homeschooled as well, which means he only ever leaves to get groceries. For how little he leaves the house, and how closed off he is, it's quite a wonder how he met Frank. Frank is an extrovert and he kind of lacks boundaries when it comes to making friends. He's curious and speaks his mind constantly, which sometimes gets him into trouble. It must be good for something though, because not many people bother to figure out Gerard. Belleville's a usually quiet town, so quiet it's almost sketchy. Frank Iero has lived his eighteen years in the quiet and sketchy town of Belleville with nothing but stories to tell. Some of them so outrageous that they must be lies, right? Like the time Brendon Urie ignored Frank and Pete for six months to talk to Ryan Ross, right? Like the time when Pete Wentz was so hurt by the fact Brendon and Frank hung out without him that he made his way to Brendon's house, climbed a tree, fell off said tree and almost broke his arm, right? Or the time when Frank and Pete both accidentally unleashed a demon in the Iero household that created catastrophic consequences for all involved, right? Ah, nothing like a good old outrageous story. Right?

Looking back, I can't even fully understand how this all happened. We used to have everything. A normal life, a normal school, a normal house. We used to be so innocent and naive, but now we're not. Now, we have nothing. We have nowhere left to go yet we've never been happier. How messed up is that? But more important: how messed up are we? "Listen to me, Frankie" He says, gently lifting my chin with his index finger. "I just wanted you to know that... no matter what happens from now on, you'll never fight alone. Okay? I won't let you" I sit up. "But why are you doing this? Why do you care so much?" I ask. "Because you're the only beautiful thing left in the world" He says, concern filling his eyes. Frank and Gerard have always meant a lot to one another.
