Life back in the Shire has been good.
Frodo saved Dawn from becoming a Banshee, they are happily married, and a new addition to the Baggins family is on the way. 
However, it's been terrible for Frodo; he is still traumatized by the agonies and terrors he's faced on his journeys, often waking up from haunting nightmares and nervous about becoming a father while tormented by other personal struggles.
