I see my mother, Queen Madhubala, her face pale with fear, her body trembling. She is speaking, pleading with someone, her voice shaking with both pain and desperation.

"Please don't do this! Please leave us alone... she's just nine years old. My daughter Ratna... please stop it!" My mother's voice begs.

Then her finger pressed to my lips, silencing me, and a wave of warmth washed over me. The touch was gentle, soothing, but it sent a thrill through me that I couldn't control. Her face was so close, so vivid in the dim lantern light, her eyes sparkling like blue fire.

Padmavati turned her gaze sharply towards Indrajeet, her voice unwavering.

Padmavati: "Political alliances? You speak of alliances, but I ask you,dear Governor, do you not see what this does to your very own? You speak of alliances, but what about the trust a couple once had? What about the vows a husband made to his wife? Would you break those vows so easily? How many women will be discarded in the name of 'alliances'?"
