"Heh, guess you can say that there's still a bit of a hero in me after all." He chuckled. The cloudless night sky was filled to the brim with stars twinkling above them.

"I know you don't believe that." Was the other's response.

There was a momentary silence before he laughed, this time sounding more forced."I know you don't either."

She looked at him, and saw that bit of golden fleck in his eye was bearly visible anymore. "But I do." They both looked at one another, the other's brow raising as if saying '𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺?'.

"And I want you to believe that too."
