"Did you miss me, my love?" His voice was soft, yet laced with a twisted smile, as though he took a dark pleasure in the pain he caused.

"Get away from me!" she shouted, her voice trembling with a mixture of fear and defiance. In an instant, his footsteps faltered, a flicker of regret briefly flashing across his eyes.

"Don't come any closer!" she snapped, her words sharp, but the terror in her chest constricted tighter with every passing second. Yet, despite her plea, he ignored her, drawing nearer with each deliberate step, his presence overwhelming and suffocating.

She stumbled back, her breath quickening as her body pressed against the cold, unforgiving wall behind her. And still, he came, halting mere inches from her trembling form.

Her eyes met his, and in them, she saw a torrent of emotions-hurt, pain, and an undeniable, raw vulnerability.

She had sworn to herself that she would remain strong, that she would not allow him to break her. But the truth, undeniable and crushing, tore through her resolve: she was still in love with him.

"I'm not letting you go," he murmured, his voice a low, possessive growl, as though claiming her once again.

Her heart, despite the betrayal, still beats for him. And in that moment, the fight to stay away from him seemed futile.
