Can she forge a new path and rewrite her story, or will the shadows of the Joker's legacy consume her?


Disclaimer: The characters and universe of Batman belong to their original creators. This is an alternate universe fanfiction where some elements have been reimagined, including the Joker as a woman and Harley Quinn as a man.

While I've aimed to stay true to the characters, some may appear slightly different due to the story's unique setting. The character of Seyna and her backstory are my original creations.

As an aspiring writer, it's difficult not to look at stories you love and wonder 'What if?' I have notice how the Joker's origin in The Killing Joke and the Joker movie (2019) both stories take place during the 1980s. But what if it took place today? That's what I try to answer! In this original work I explore how a complex character like the Joker could emerge and be influence by current social problems. It's a romantic, and specially mysterious short story that I wish one day could help me make it to DC as a comic book writer, and if I don't, at least I enjoyed writing it, and I hope you enjoy reading it! Disclaimer: This story is an original idea, of course I reference moments from DC comics and I borrow their characters to tell the story (After all, It's a fan fiction), but each character belongs to the respective owners.

With the boys of the Justice League out, Diana Prince, also known as Wonder Woman, is prepared to go into battle and serve justice. As the three come together and recruit other healthy vigilantes and superheroes, they begin to realize that this disease is too drastic to overlook... I do not own ANY of the characters.
