Can she forge a new path and rewrite her story, or will the shadows of the Joker's legacy consume her?


Disclaimer: The characters and universe of Batman belong to their original creators. This is an alternate universe fanfiction where some elements have been reimagined, including the Joker as a woman and Harley Quinn as a man.

While I've aimed to stay true to the characters, some may appear slightly different due to the story's unique setting. The character of Seyna and her backstory are my original creations.

I have notice how the Joker's origin in The Killing Joke and the Joker movie (2019) both stories take place during the 1980s. But what if it took place today? That's what I try to answer! In this original work I explore how a complex character like the Joker could emerge and be influence by current social problems.
