The storm transports Vertin near future and it wouldn't reverse for no reason (Plot Logic) so Vertin and the rest ended up in Copper 9 found by Uzi and the others. They don't trust each other yet but it gets better YAY!!. 

Basically Vertin and the drones have a fun friendship hangout.
