Rumors can turn men into monsters. This is precisely what nineteenth-century London has done with the Bloodmen. Painting criminals as nightmarish creatures running rampant in the streets, but the sewers are where they really play: in the Blood City.

Luna Martin knows these rumours well but doesn't stop her from doing what she wants. They inspire her to become one of the missing women headlining the London Daily. But months before she can execute her plan to escape, the truth of her parentage comes to light, sending her spiraling down the whiskey bottle. Forced to partake in the Father's mind games, she'll do whatever it takes to beat him. And with the help of a rogue Bloodmen who knows more than he lets on, she just might win.
