Vincent, a talented artist, knows about the tragic car accident that claimed his parents' lives shortly after they put him up for adoption. He thought he had no living family until he receives a letter revealing his estranged grandmother, Rose, has late-stage dementia. Intrigued, he calls the number in the letter and speaks to Ava, Rose's energetic caregiver. Ava offers to pay for Vincent's flight to Stowe, Virginia, to stay with them and help care for Rose.

Upon arrival, Vincent is struck by the quaint beauty of Rose's cottage, nestled in a vibrant garden. He meets Ava, whose boundless energy and rapid speech quickly put him at ease. Despite Rose's severe condition-where she can neither speak nor move without assistance-Vincent feels a deep emotional pull to connect with her and uncover the mysteries of his past.

Ava and Vincent make a unique arrangement: every day at dinner, Ava shares a story about Rose's life. In return, Vincent promises to create a painting for Ava once a week, inspired by these stories.

As the days pass, Vincent learns about his grandmother's adventurous spirit and the hardships she faced. Each story brings Vincent closer to understanding his family and himself. He paints scenes from these stories, each piece helping him to process his emotions and build a tangible connection to his heritage.

Waking up in the body of a Romani Archiman is acceptable. Getting 3rd and 1st True Magics is nice. Getting Beasts as pets - delightful. The world of DxD is unforgivable. It's a world where some teenagers who aren't even two decades old somehow mystically defeat the descendants of legendary heroes, ancient demons, powerful dragons, etc. Why does this happen? Simply because! Simply put, this world only makes sense because it doesn't. And now, I have to put up with the fact that I live here. Such pain. (DxDxMulti)
