The Enclave: The Society's Secrets

What if you got to know everyone's darkest secrets by sheer dumb luck? Not by virtue, not by wit or curiosity, but by nothing but your naive ignorance and another's malice? Because that's what happened to me one fateful autumn day.

Three months prior, I was just an ordinary low ranking associate of a respected society. The mysterious enclave with all its obscured files seemed untouchably out of reach for a plain faced and plainly spoken woman like me.

However, the double day curse of October 2023 brought me there to be condemned. If I was to handle it, I'd have to comb through the folders within to find out just what judgment errors I'd have to circumvent.

But would my case stand? And worse yet, would the near-forbidden knowledge I possessed even help?

Because I know things you (probably) don't, reader. Things which may never come to light.

A one-shot based on some true experiences of mine. Names, dates, and settings have been obscured for privacy reasons. If you somehow manage to find out who is who, please do not harass them.
