I didn't really notice the boy across the street; not his dark hair I'd learn was soft to the touch, and not his ebony eyes as consuming as a black hole. Sixteen years and my gaze always slipped away from him...until it didn't. Until he spilled through my every thought, and enamored my dreams. Until the memory of his touch became a tattoo upon my skin, his kiss a permanent phantom on my lips. I didn't really notice the boy across the street; not his insanely charming smile, and not his intoxicating laugh. Sixteen years and my gaze always slipped away from him...until I fell in love with him.
