Hisirdoux "Douxie" Casperan has the worst luck in all seven realms. First, he loses his parents at a young age, then he's nearly killed for his magic, and finally, just as he finally starts to believe he's not cursed, he loses everything he's held dear--- his home, his new father figure, and his fiancée. That was nine hundred years ago, and he has yet to overcome his self-inflicted exile. But before he can truly lose his spark, his old mentor summons him, thrusting him right back into the center of a centuries-old war he thought he escaped. Old faces return, forgotten promises rise to the surface, and the hope for a second chance steps into the light.

So far, all's been quiet in their little apartment in New York City. During the day, Douxie scrambles with jobs to pay the rent, and at night, he's mercilessly attacked by nightmare after nightmare. The horrors of the past haunt him, and the death of Merlin has scarred him well beyond repair. The order WILL strike. The only question is: When? And will he be able to stop them again? 900 years ago in the 12th century of Camelot, a 17 year old adopted princess named Millian Deos was walking through the halls with her best friend, Hisirdoux Casperan. The two of them were both apprentices to Merlin Ambrosius, the most powerful wizard known to mankind. No one had told Millie how she got to Camelot, all she remembered was waking up in a room with King Arthur Pendragon and Merlin, though she didn't know who they were yet. Arthur had said she was found alone on the streets and decided to take her in. She agreed and now, she was formally a princess, heir to the throne of Camelot. Though, her joy was short-lived. During this time period, Gunmar and his son Bular were at war with the humans. After losing Guinevere, Arthur had ravaged their lands, destroying and taking so many trolls away from their homes. During the Battle of Killahead Bridge, Millian and Hisirdoux were sent away by Merlin to stay safe, and protect the world of man in case something should happen to him. During that time, Millian and Hisirdoux got separated along the way. Now, it was the 21st century, and our wizards have both ended up in the small town of Arcadia, without knowing the other was there. Millian spent most of her time with the Guardians of Arcadia, Jim Lake Jr., Claire, Toby, Blinky, Aaarrrgghh, Varvatos, Aja, and Krel. She may think she's seen it all, but is she prepared to face the truth about her past? Will it scare her friends away, or bring them closer to fight the unknown together?Complete
