Offcuts

The panel of judges swung an axe at the large tree of entries. They scrutinized the roots, the trunk, the branches, the leaves... but my pile of wood didn't make the cut. Nevertheless, I know my unsung stories are the seeds with the potential to grow into a significant sycamore, bearing the beautiful fruits of my labour.
