Jiang Wanyin está harto. Entre reconstruir su secta, lidiar con políticos insoportables y fingir que todo está bajo control, apenas tiene tiempo para respirar. Pero, obvio, nadie puede saber que a veces siente que se va a desmayar del cansancio... o que su corazón parece apretarse de la nada.
Entra Lan Xichen, el líder perfecto de la secta Gusu Lan, que, por alguna razón, decide meterse en su vida. Al principio, Wanyin lo encuentra irritante pero cuando Xichen descubre que el "gran lider de la secta Yunmeng Jiang" está enfermo y podría morirse, todo se pone raro.
Entre discusiones, indirectas y momentos donde el ambiente se pone sospechosamente intenso , Wanyin y Xichen empiezan a conocerse de la verdad.
