Tally and Nova has been moving constantly from place to place, afraid of being found by the higher ups. Afraid of their little secret being spilled to the public. They left their birthplace as soon as they possibly could-even traveling from the afterlife to the mortal realm to hide-wondering aimlessly together for who knows how long?

Their mother found a place for them to hide out, in a small town no one would ever check. Nothing really goes on there. It's a perfect sanctuary, both Tally and Nova loves it. but instead of hiding away from society's knowledge, this time, they are 'hiding in plain sight.'

Hiding like this reduces the amount of suspicion for the higher ups as they hunt for them, but it also means that they are under the watchful eyes of everyone in the town.

And these mortals aren't stupid
