Kris Kringle, Saint Nick, Father Christmas, Saint Nicholas and of course Santa Claus, are all names for the jolly old elf that appears every year to help us celebrate Christmas. Legends tell us that he comes down our chimney every 25 December to bring gifts to every good boy and girl.
Times have changed and now with modern heating system it is impossible for even him to come down our chimneys. Every parent who sees a gift under the tree for their child with a tag that says, 'From Santa Claus,' knows just who put it there.
But not all gifts are material in nature. A simple act of kindness is just the right gift if given from the heart.
The true spirit of Christmas is not Santa Claus, but the feeling of giving at that time of the year. A gift can be grand or very simple and everything in between. It can be as simple as a helping hand, a hug, or a KISS.
