Set after The Cruel Prince, by Holly Black, this fanfic follows the relationship between Jude and Cardan, who have a love-hate relationship. There are many things wrong with the new reigning King, he's an alcoholic, doesn't care about ruling, and an overall asshole, but no matters, because Jude is the one in control. All of this is going on while Jude is ruling Elfhame from behind Cardan, causing her to stand ring on the edge of her sanity. She knows that the only help she's going to get is from The Court of Shadows, which is made up of The Roach, The Ghost and The Bomb.
