THERE WAS A TIME in my life when I believed in destiny. But now, I think destiny is just a load of shit.
No, the stars never whispered my name, my future. My whole life, I've grabbed my own fate with hungry hands, pulling and pushing, molding my life into my own. My once clean soul was being battered with the dirty fingers of those who wanted to see my downfall.
But my mistakes belong entirely to me.
The stars never mapped out a path for me to follow. They never planned my triumphs - I ruled the stars, not the other way around - I took their light and injected it into my veins, infecting my body with their fire.
But when the darkness in my mind had just started to get too loud, kate laswell stepped in and quickly put the darkness to rest, offering me a chance to right the wrongs of my past. I began to question if I really was the one controlling my destiny, or if the universe made all the decisions now.
