Valeria Monroe was an average girl who lived an average life in 1922. That was until she was brutally murdered a week after her 16th birthday. But while she is dying, an angel visits her and offers her a choice. She can either die or she can be reborn as a newborn baby. The catch is that is order to be reborn she must work for an organization of half-angels called "The Manus Dei" by killing supernatural beings for 100 years while keeping an eye out for her murderer. Her body doesn't grow or change, and she can't get sick or die. All goes as planned until 2012 when she finds out that someone in The Menus Dei could be a traitor and that her murderer might not actually be the bad guy.
