[WORK #1] Twenty-three year old 𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐄 𝐀𝐈𝐘𝐀𝐍𝐀 𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐍 is no stranger to leaving her ugly past behind. Packing up her bags, she just barely escaped her hometown at the ripe age of eighteen to attend the University of Georgia with all the money she saved up from her summer job. She makes it clear that she has no intentions on coming back unless she absolutely has to. Indie loves what little family and friends she had left in South Central Florida, but the trauma she's running away from trumps all of that.

So when she gets the unexpected call that her grandmother Rose, who practically raised Indie all of her life, isn't doing too well she's forced to reopen old wounds that haven't healed after all of these years. She's faced with unanswered questions she has with her old fling, her mother's unresolved disdain for her, and Indie soon realizes the longer she runs, the faster it's going to catch up to her.

When reunited with the person who she hopes to avoid the most, a flurry of old emotions she has to keep under wraps comes back. It leaves her wondering can they finally be together again?
