"First years follow me!" A 7th year red headed girl says, and me and Rick go over to her, along with the other new Gryffindors. 

When we get there, the red headed girl has a boy who has messy brown hair the sticks up in all directions. 

"Were we this short in first year?" I hear the boy ask the girl, "shut up James" she says but nicely.

"Well, we are gryffindors prefects and head boy and girl of hogwarts this year" the girl say with a beaming smile.

"I'm lily-" the girl says but get cut off by the boy "potter, and I'm James potter" he says smugly "no! I'm lily Evans, not potter" the girl says "not for too long lily flower" the boy says and this makes the girl (lily) blush. 

Me and Rick give each other a glance out of the corner of our eyes. 

"So um" the girl says trying not to go redder in the face "if you'll follow us, we'll show you to gryffindor tower" lily says and starts walking with James at the front, and all the gryffindor first years follow. 

"Merlin, he wants people to know that she's his girlfriend" Rick muttered to me and we both giggle.
