Mirelle è la principessa di Gran Burrone, la figlia più piccola di Re Elrond, circa 16 anni, agli occhi degli uomini, quasi una decina di anni la separano da sua sorella Arwen. Sono sempre state legatissime, migliori amiche, facendo sempre tutto insieme, fino al matrimonio della sorella minore. Infatti Elrond promette in sposa Mirelle ad Aragorn, Re di Gondor, che di anni ne ha quasi 30, un'enorme differenza d'età.
