"What makes you think I won't survive these games?" She snapped back, taking a step away from him in the process. If he noticed her repulsion, he certainly didn't seem to care, moving closer once more until his hands snaked around her waist.

"A pretty thing like you, in the games? You won't last a day." He said it as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, a simple fact of life. Maybe it was. But maybe it wasn't. Aria just didn't like being spoken to like this.

"I've done it before, I can do it again." She said. A smirk danced across the Capitol man's lips.
