Ezperanza Mania is the shadow in everyone's life. Her mom overlooking her to pay attention to the needs of her perfect brother and sister, her best friend forgetting her over her new boyfriend. She doesn't complain though. In her point of view she is even lucky to be in their lives, knowing without them she wouldn't know what to do. However, things turn around when she talks to the crush of her dreams. Will it all be fun and games when she realizes he is not exactly as he seems? Or when a terrible tragedy occurs in her family? Only then will she realize maybe she doesn't need to be everyone's shadow; she can have her own.

As she reaches her final destination, the time with her guide grows shorter, unless she makes the decision to stay behind. As she sees her family struggle, she has no idea who she will pick. She is scared, she doesn't want to lose her family, her old comforts invisible life. But her connection her her guide is strong, and she doesn't want to let go of that either.
