For Sophie and Jack, their love story has always been a whirlwind of passion and heartbreak. Both journalism students at a prestigious university, they share the same drive for uncovering the truth but can't seem to find honesty in their own relationship.

Sophie is meticulous and goal-oriented, dreaming of a career as an investigative reporter, while Jack, a free-spirited aspiring columnist, thrives on spontaneity. Their connection is electric, but their opposing personalities lead to frequent clashes, broken promises, and unresolved tension.

After a particularly heated argument, Sophie decides she's done. This has to be the last time she lets Jack back into her life. But when they're assigned to work together on a high-stakes exposé for their campus newspaper, their unresolved feelings collide with the pressures of their shared ambition.

Can they find a way to work together without falling back into old patterns? Or will this be the story that finally closes the chapter on their relationship for good?

Sophie Bennett has never been lucky in love. After a series of broken relationships where lies and betrayal always seem to find their way to the surface, she's closed off her heart, convinced that true love is just a fantasy. That is, until one fateful night at The Hideaway, a bar tucked away from the chaos of Vanderbilt City. When Sophie meets Caleb Turner, she's drawn to him in a way she hasn't felt in years. As their chemistry intensifies, the unspoken tension between them grows, until one day, Caleb is forced to come clean. The revelation is enough to crush Sophie's spirit, leaving her questioning everything she thought she knew about trust and her own worth. Heartbroken and betrayed, Sophie makes the difficult decision to walk away, vowing never to repeat the same mistakes. But as time passes, she unexpectedly finds herself drawn to someone new-someone who offers her a chance at a love unlike anything she's ever known. As Sophie opens her heart again, she discovers that love doesn't always come in the form you expect, and sometimes, the biggest surprises are the ones that heal you.
