"Just leave me alone Maverick" he whispers, turning his face away.

The man looms over him breathing heavy. Neither of them was sure if it was from one of his episodes or from their proximity.

They were close. Too close.

But only Maverick felt hot and needy for his roommate.

Cedric excels at everything. From when he was in high school to now, he was a star student. He followed the rules and was passionate about being the best upcoming lawyer there is. But when college rolls around, he's thrown with a roommate that's his polar opposite.

The man who sleeps in close proximity was who everyone wanted. He had the good looks and a panty dropping smile. But beneath his looks he was awful. Cedric was the only one who knew the real maverick.

From his words to the bruises he gave. Maverick inflicted pain on Cedric. So as he plans to move colleges he hopes to leave Maverick behind for good.

Maverick wants him to want him back, but someone how he keeps hurting him. It's like his mental health thrives off of Cedric's pain. Even if Maverick wants to stop he can't.
He can't stop liking him and can't stop hurting him.

And he's slowly pushing Cedric away.

And now Maverick has pushed him to far, that he might not get him back.
