An Ancient Greek sapphic love story. As the youngest child and only daughter of an Athenian politician, Acantha knew she was never going to have much of a choice in how her life went. When she was twelve years old, her father married her off to a colleague of his almost five times her age. Since then, she's been nothing but berated and abused by her husband, expected to bear him children against her will. Danae is a child of Sparta- a tough warrior taught never to submit or back down. Men have tried to court her, but they all walk away disappointed. However, after an incident with one of the men, her father strongarms her into a year in Athens to 'learn her place'. She is none too happy about this, until she meets Acantha.
