When the dragon came, her only life was destroyed. Leaving her with a scar to remember. When even her own kind refused to help, she was infuriated. So she embarks on the quest to help her "brother", Thorin to reclaim Erebor. Both share a hate for the elves that betrayed them.

Still plagued with the past, she changes nothing. Only when she reveals her true appearance does a knife twist in his heart. She looks like her. But could never be her.

Fate's dark design gives them both a second chance at love. Even the dwarves are rooting for a romance. It may hurt them both, or heal the holes in their hearts. They say elves only love once. But that may change.

I made many mistakes in my life and as darkness took a hold of me I was ready to make so many more, until one day someone proved to me there was still another way. As time continues to pass and Mirkwood continues to darken, the threat of Mordor creeping ever closer, Eirien finds herself at a complete loss. If she confesses, she will lose him for good, but if she keeps quiet, she will only further torment her already broken heart.
