pretend (?) dating

A case requires Dazai and you to pretend to be a couple in order to infiltrate a high-profile target's event. Dazai, (Even the joker), takes it to the extreme by being overly affectionate and dramatic about the whole thing, even though **you're** just playing the part.

The line between pretending and reality starts to blur. At first, you think Dazai is just teasing you, but you start noticing little signs that make you question whether his actions are genuine. Eventually, you're forced to confront the growing tension between the two of you, and Dazai finally admits that he did start developing real feelings for you during the whole charade.
