GENEVIEVE HADLEY became a mother at sixteen-years-old to an angel she named after herself. At seventeen, she leaves her parent's house, driving away from the repression and hatred to create a new life for her and her daughter. From Hartford, she arrives in the small town of Stars Hollow, seeking a job in the nearest inn which she finds to be run by Lorelai Gilmore who she discovers led a very similar life to her sixteen years ago. She finds herself confiding in Lorelai, searching for something of a mother figure due to her lack of one.
