Brandon Brooks-Mendez has been all over the U.S competing in countless wrestling companies in the indies. His parents allowed him to skip college and go straight into the wrestling business. Brandon is only twenty three years old so he has a very bright future ahead of him.

It also helps when your parents are CM Punk and AJ Lee.

Phil ever since Brandon was born knew that he had what it took to carry on his legacy after he retires in the coming years. So Phil made it his job to make sure that he was able to prepare his son for the wrestling industry. April though felt like Phil was forcing Brandon into wrestling. But her suspicions were quickly killed when she saw the joy on Brandon's face as he trained day after day with his father. He started training at the age of ten getting in shape at a very young age.

So to say that wrestling was forged into him would be a understatement. So after impressing in the indies Phil puts a word in for him to Shawn Micheals who runs NXT the developmental brand of the WWE. Micheal allows him to come in for a tryout and Brandon easily gets through it.

Brandon puts pen to paper as Carson Jaeger is now in NXT to stay.

But singing with the developmental brand would lead him to reuniting with a old friend.
