Gotham City's vigilantes have found a mysterious young woman in a collapsed building, oddly unharmed but shaken. No reason for being there, no hint of where she came from, no record, no information or trust, even in the Batfamily. Then she drops a bombshell, putting them on edge; she knows who Batman is and she's determined to face him, seeking something.
In her eyes, she's outraced death but unprocessed trauma has caught up. Her refusal to trust anyone brings tension to the Batfamily. It envelops the Justice League, exposing her connection to a man whose very moniker makes them wonder if she's trustworthy. Why did she pursue them, or what chased her to? To crumble walls on each side, they must sort out who she was before--from deep memories even she's reluctant to acknowledge-to help her emerge. She may also just be a kindred spirit; damaged.
Dark connections are never evident from a glance, and worlds you cannot imagine exist outside of your comfortable cities or worst nightmares. Love, family and loss is a universal concept, just as devastating, especially trapped far from home. Mourning alone, in a place of strangers you don't trust, is where no one deserves to be.
*Recommended ages 15+. Based in the 'Wayne Family Adventures' universe (not including chapter 7, that's a joke, non-canon chapter), featuring plots, characters and timeline factors from other DC movies, universes and comics, but some original concepts for certain, small DC characters. (I own nothing, it's fanfic. Cover photo is the Webtoon art with a stock image. All belong to their respective creators/companies.) Strong language, violence and implied sexual or intense situations. Brace yourself; that's the trigger warning.
