Gotham City's vigilantes have found a mysterious young woman in a collapsed building, oddly unharmed but shaken. No reason for being there, no hint of where she came from, no record, no information or trust in anyone, even the Batfamily. In her eyes they see that she's just outraced death but unprocessed trauma has caught up. Then she drops a bombshell, putting the Batfamily on edge; she knows who Batman is. She knows nothing else, yet insists she speak to him.

Her refusal to tell all brings tension to the Batfamily, who can't identify her intent. As it envelops the Justice League, it exposes a connection to a man who's very moniker makes them wonder if they trust her. Why has she pursued them, or what chased her to? To gain her trust and learn what she is reluctant to share, they must sort out who she was before now--from even her deep unconscious thoughts. Walls crumble on both sides to help her emerge from herself, determined and seeking something. She may also just be a kindred spirit; damaged...

Dark connections are never evident from a glance, and worlds you cannot imagine exist outside of your comfortable cities or worst nightmares. Love and family is a universal concept and loss is just as devastating, especially when trapped far from home. Mourning alone, in a strange place of people you don't know or trust, is where no one deserves to be.
