Boun has spent the last few years working for a successful advertisement firm, living a fast-paced life, far from his quiet, rural hometown. This year, he agrees to return home for Christmas at the insistence of his parents, who own a small inn nestled in the heart of a charming, snow-dusted town. Boun hasn't been back in years, avoiding the place where memories of his first love, Prem, linger.
Prem meanwhile, never left the cozy town. After Boun left to chase his career, Prem stayed behind to run his grandfather's bakery. He's made peace with his quiet life, though every Christmas season reminds him of the promises Boun made but never kept. He's moved on - or so he tells himself - focusing on keeping the bakery running and organizing the town's annual Christmas festival.
When Boun arrives back in town, he doesn't expect to run into Prem so quickly - at a holiday market, of all places, where Prem is handing out samples of his famous gingerbread cookies. Their encounter is filled with unsaid words and stolen glances. Boun soon realizes, that the town hasn't changed much - but Prem has grown into someone even more confident, warm, and magnetic than he remembers.
As Boun's parents struggle to keep the inn running due to a series of financial setbacks, Boun is forced to stay longer than planned to help them out.
But Prem is cautious - he's been hurt once before, and he's not sure if Boun plans to stick around after Christmas or return to his fast-paced city life. Boun, on the other hand, begins to question whether the life he built in Bangkok is really what he wants, or if the simple joy of the town-and his rekindled feelings for Prem-might be what he's truly been searching for.
Running his own business, left to him by his father, Prem is trying to find a worthy assistant. And it seems he's finding much more than he'd hoped for.
