Smart technological changes to facilitate industrial automation through IoT are revolutionising traditional industries engineeringprojects by implementing advanced technological tools for better productivity at low cost and real time monitoring. These engineeringprojects incorporate internet of things (IoT), which is the linking of devices, sensors and other machinery to systems for real time connectivity and transfer of data. Industries, including manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare and energy management, gain from features of automation that include remote monitoring, predictive maintenance, and process optimization.  Automations solutions facilitated by IoT go further than streamlining the work process, they also keep an eye on the safety of jobs which should be done manually but are dangerous and environmentally unfriendly, as well as optimize energy consumption. Some are smart production line with connected production line systems, smart inventory stock control and smart prediction system for equipment capabilities and reliability. These changes make processes more efficient, generate usable data for analysis, and open the door for industries to be sustainable in the age of the digital economy. Findings also show that industrial automation using IoT is a promising area for effective, integrated and innovative processes.
