Doch in ihrer grausamen Welt findet sie überraschende Verbündete, die die Dunkelheit und Brutalität der Spiele etwas erträglicher machen. 

Je länger die Kämpfe jedoch andauern, desto drängender wird eine Frage: Will Anwar überhaupt noch lebend aus der Arena entkommen - oder ist der Tod eine Erlösung?
