"You have been cruel ever since I stepped foot in the kingdom. I have been presentable, kind, respectful to every one of the staff, people and your mother. The King is just as cruel, if not more. I simply do not understand what I have done or said to be treated like this. I am of the sesquincentennial age... I was expected to be married off to a cruel king and his equally cruel family who have no respect for anyone but themselves." He watches her hands ball into fists. "If I have offended you and your family I am truly sorry, but to treat me in this manner is uncalled for." She looks to the warrior before her. "Are you even listening to me Sirille?!"
He stands towering over her. "As our late King used to say, "You will get the respect you deserve, but only after you earn it." Elenia thinks for a moment. "I am cruel because you have yet not earned my respect. For my mother, she believes you are not suitable to be queen regardless of your rank in your family's kingdom. My brother, our king, has always been a cruel bastard."
Elenia breathes out for a moment. "How do I prove myself to you?" She asks, determined.
Sirille's thoughts race. Anything. Just breathe and I'll respect you. It's your trust I need to earn. I need to earn your respect... I need to earn, I want to earn. I want to... I want you.
He brings himself to focus again. "If I have to tell you, that means you don't deserve my respect. And now you are wasting my time, girl!" It kills Sirille to be cruel to her, but he would never show it.
Elenia's eyes tear up as she feels her heart breaking, unsure as to why it hurt her so much. His cruelty hurts and breaks her to the very core. "I have done nothing wrong to you, Sirille." She blinks and stands tall, like a true Queen. "If I cannot have your respect then surely you do not deserve mine." She turns and leaves his room breathing heavily in anger.
