In the ancient, labyrinthine city of Vespera, where secrets are etched into the walls and whispered on the wind, the Watchmen-once the city's silent guardians-have disappeared. Alden, the last of their kind, stands vigil atop a broken tower, the air thick with foreboding. When Kira, a mysterious figure with knowledge of Vespera's long-hidden truths, tells him the city is "waking up," Alden is forced to confront a terrifying truth: the city itself is alive, and it chooses who will wield its power.
