After a threat known as Alternates, capable of shape-shifting, invade the now not so peaceful Mandela County, the state has decided to do something against it, the U.S.D.T.P (United States Department of Temporal Phenomena) was established, and instead of backing off and letting the townspeople to their fate, they've decided to establish a department specialized on Alternate capture and eradication operations, the government has invested many resources on founding this department, and so, they expect a good performance from the people who work in here, after all, what could possibly go wrong?

This is for all of my Facebook friends who want to go back and read my Hunger Games posts but don't want to go through the hassle of finding the original posts. For any newcomers, the premise is simple. A mysterious hooded figure abducts beings from different realities (in this case various movies, shows, video games, and much more) and forces them to compete in a battle royale similar to that of the Hunger Games. The Betrayer and the Betrayed
In the not-so-distant future evolved humans emerged. Those who had powers that broke conventional laws of physics, chemistry, and biology were dubbed E.H.s (evolved humans); it was wondrous for a time. Of course if there was power to be used there would be those who misuse. To that end the evolved humans police department was formed to deal with all crime committed by or connected to E.H.s, a force entirely comprised of E.H.s trained to stop and capture any E.H. breaking the law. Adlet Blacksteel is the newest edition to the E.H.P.D., his skills and experience as a hostage extractor makes him an invaluable edition. Joined by his new partner, Jenna Jones, he pursues a secretive manhunt for the Soldiers Of The New World, an underground E.H. crime organization that has a hand in all that is illegal, and their mysterious leader: String, who, seemingly, has eyes and ears everywhere. While Adlet and Jenna intend on doing this by the books, their unsavory past with two of String's captains may muddy their judgement, or, more accurately, it already has. As String's ambitions grow beyond just controlling the city's underbelly Adlet and Jenna are forced to take action with an ally he did not desire. While prejudice against E.H.s reaches it's peak because of a horrific tragedy, the Soldiers of the New World waste no time to expand their reach and rally for their cause of taking over the city. Adlet goes to the edge of sacrificing everything and back again. On the way, betrayal awaits at every corner. Survivors have split into factions and are forming rival gangs in which they are disappearing at exponential rates due to government kidnappings. Rumor is, the government is planning a meta human attack by altering the dna of those who've been taken. Once word is out everyone has to decide whether gang related battles are more important than life itself as they know it. If that isn't enough they join forces with omniscient beings, extraterrestrials, and some beings that cant really be put into one category. They find that the government isn't all laws and science and that the battle they're facing is way more complex than they could have ever imagined.Complete
