Yara, a genetic and microbiologist researcher, is conducting wildlife experiments in the forest when she accidentally gets into a violent confrontation with poachers. Though Yara survives, she is severely injured. A dying lioness, knowing her time is short, gives birth to a cub near Yara before passing away. Overcome with a sense of duty, Yara takes the cub, naming him Leo, and raises him as her own in an isolated house deep within the forest. Over the years, Leo grows into a powerful lion, and Yara struggles with the inability to communicate with him. Desperate to bridge the gap, she researches genetic alterations and develops a sticker that allows her to transform into a lioness, finally enabling her to speak with Leo. As Leo matures, he falls in love with a lioness named Lia, and after a series of events, introduces her to Yara. Touched by their bond, Yara helps Lia transform using the same method. But their peaceful life is disrupted when hunters discover Leo and plan to capture him. Yara sacrifices herself, transforming into a lioness and saving Leo by forcing him to flee for his own safety. As Yara dies at the hands of soldiers, Leo believes his mother is lost forever.
