What happens when superheroes step out of line?

A CIA-backed group of individuals called "The Boys" steps in to fight back, consisting of William Butcher, the leader of the group, Hughie, the rookie, Mother's Milk, the information feeder, Frenchie, the chemical and weapon specialist, The Female, the mute and brutal powerhouse, and (Y/n), the eager and determined blood-spiller.

Challenging the group is The Seven, an omnipotent group of superhumans led by the ruthless Homelander. Though the main goal is to defeat the corrupt Vought, the company funding and capitalizing off of the superheroes, the members all have a sense of revenge about it:

Butcher has a hidden agenda against The Homelander for the disappearance (and possible murder) of his wife Rebecca.

Hughie seeks revenge against A-Train for the murder of his girlfriend.

Mother's Milk wants retribution for what Supers have done to his grandfather.

Frenchie wants to get even with Vought for the accidental massacre of Grace Mallory's grandchildren at the hands of Lamplighter.

The Female demands vengeance against Vought for their torturous experiments with Compound V, the chemical that Vought uses to make the Superheroes.

And (Y/n)? There's a storm brewing in him. Once that has to feed...
