These stories operate on the concept that they were cut from the original episodes, and the attempt is to make them fit into the plot in ways that are as plausible as possible while still having a good ol' time writing them. These pieces do their best to fit within canon and plausibility. Want to have some serious fun? Watch the episode, then pause it when the "deleted scene occurs." Then read, enjoy, and start the episode again. Definitely not required, but if you're considering a re-watch, now's the perfect time. Then you can try and read subtext into other scenes in the show assuming that the deleted scene wasn't deleted :) Update: In writing the first episode, I am suddenly writing first person POV from Hannibal, which is a departure from the previous 2 seasons!
