"Why? Why won't you just let me in? I still-" She cut him off, "Don't. Don't finish that sentence Greyson, you know exactly why I can't just let you back into my life again." --- Almost five years ago, Bridget Carter abruptly left her hometown of Woodland. Bridget made a new life for herself and is finally living out her dreams as an investigative journalist and is happily avoiding her past. All seems well until she is called to investigate a recent murder in her home town. What she doesn't know is that she will be forced to work with Woodland's best investigative journalist-Greyson James. Who happens to be her ex-boyfriend. Bridget is hiding huge secrets from her old friend and the feelings she's locked inside herself are dangerously close to resurfacing. Will she be strong enough to resist Greyson's pull on her even after all these years? And will she be ready to face her past and ask herself whether or not she made the right choice in leaving? A/N: FYI this was originally a fanfiction (the original version is still on my profile) this is just a revised, rewritten version with characters that are completely my own.
